Dear NHE/OV Parents,
Our schools are still in need of an NAACP Parent/Guardian Representative.
The NHEOV Parent Representative will work with the PTA and school administration to further the vision of the NAACP. “The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.”
The first meeting of the NAACP Parents’ Council is to receive training, the by-laws, and expectations for the position which will take place on August 17, 2013 in the auditorium of the Carver Educational Services Center, Rockville, Maryland.
The NAACP Parents Council Representative shares relevant information at PTA meetings; keep PTA officers and both schools informed of issues that require attention or action.
Please contact me to volunteer for this position, or to require for more information.
