Given the weather forecast, Maryland PTA-and MCCPTA-have elected to preemptively reschedule PTA Night in Annapolis to the evening of Thursday, March 6. MCCPTA was piggybacking on this annual PTA tradition to bring our folks out to press the Maryland General Assembly to fund the critical school construction needs faced by Montgomery County and our exploding student population. County Executive Ike Leggett, Councilmembers Berliner, Navarro, Rice, and Riemer, and Board of Education members Brandman, Durso, and Kauffman were set to travel with us. Our effort is making news; CLICK HERE for Washington Post coverage of the event.
We hope that if you were planning to attend, you will change your calendar and pen in March 6; same times, same bus locations, same evening plans…hopefully much more pleasant weather. And if you had not yet committed to the trip, GET ON THE BUS! Middle and high school students can earn SSL hours by joining us; students under 18 must be accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s).
